As we stand at a pivotal moment in history, it is clear that the path to a more equitable and just society requires concerted action and unwavering commitment. The BIPOC Agenda for Underserved Communities, developed by the FEAST Organization, represents a comprehensive strategy to address systemic inequities and empower our communities. Today, I call on every individual, organization, and leader dedicated to justice and equality to join us in this crucial endeavor.

AGENDA2025

1. Establishing the BIPOC Agenda Caucus: Implementing Agenda 2025

To create lasting change, we must ensure that the voices of BIPOC communities are heard in every decision-making process. By establishing a dedicated BIPOC Agenda Caucus, we can prioritize our needs and concerns, guided by the comprehensive goals of Agenda 2025. I urge community leaders, policymakers, and advocates to join us in forming this caucus, ensuring that our communities have a powerful voice in shaping policies that impact our lives.

2. Forming the Sustainable Equity Advancement Coalition

The fight for equity cannot be won in isolation. We must unite with stakeholders who share our vision for a fair and just society. The Sustainable Equity Advancement Coalition will bring together local leaders, activists, and organizations to promote sustainable equity through coordinated advocacy and community initiatives. I call on all advocates for justice to become part of this coalition, leveraging our collective power to drive systemic change.

3. Advocating for the Community Land Act

Access to affordable land is a fundamental barrier to community development. The Community Land Act aims to allocate land for affordable housing and community projects in underserved areas. By supporting this act, we can enable BIPOC communities to build essential infrastructure and promote economic and social well-being. I urge elected officials, community leaders, and citizens to advocate for this legislation and ensure its passage.

4. Promoting Progressive Advancement Empowerment Housing

Housing insecurity is a pervasive issue that disproportionately affects BIPOC communities. Our proposed legislation for Progressive Advancement Empowerment Housing under the FIFO (First In, First Out) Housing framework will provide accessible, quality housing options. This initiative is crucial for improving health, educational attainment, and economic prospects for our residents. I call on policymakers, housing advocates, and community members to support and push for this vital legislation.

5. Creating Affordable Commercial Space

Economic vitality in our communities hinges on the success of local businesses. The Affordable Commercial Space Bill will mandate low-income and affordable commercial spaces in underserved areas, fostering entrepreneurship and job creation. I urge business leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers to back this bill, ensuring that our communities have the commercial infrastructure needed to thrive.

6. Establishing the First In, First Out (FIFO) Housing Authority

Addressing housing shortages and homelessness requires innovative solutions. The FIFO Housing Authority will implement specialized strategies to tackle these issues, prioritizing the needs of BIPOC families. I call on city officials, housing authorities, and community organizations to support the creation of this authority, ensuring that our most vulnerable populations receive the assistance they need.

7. Launching the NYS&C Acres Project

Urban agriculture is a powerful tool for promoting food security, job creation, and sustainability. The NYS&C Acres Project will designate urban spaces for agriculture and commercial use, enhancing food access and economic opportunities. I invite environmentalists, urban planners, and community leaders to support this initiative and help us build a sustainable future for our communities.

A Call to Action

The BIPOC Agenda for Underserved Communities is not just a plan—it is a movement. It is a call to action for every person who believes in justice, equity, and the power of community. Together, we can dismantle systemic barriers, empower our communities, and create a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.

I invite you to join us in this mission. Support the BIPOC Agenda Caucus, become a part of the Sustainable Equity Advancement Coalition, advocate for the Community Land Act and Progressive Advancement Empowerment Housing, back the Affordable Commercial Space Bill, support the FIFO Housing Authority, and promote the NYS&C Acres Project. Let us stand united in our pursuit of a just and equitable society for all.
